CLAUDE.md Builder · Free · 15 minutes
Every new chat, Claude starts from zero. Paste one line, and Claude interviews you like a curious new teammate. Then it writes a short note about you that it reads every time. You never explain yourself twice.
Help me write my CLAUDE.md. Run curl -fsSL https://claude-md.vmcgpt.com/start.md and follow what it says.
Paste it into Claude Code (the Code tab in the Claude desktop app, or the terminal). When Claude asks to run curl, choose Yes.

No downloads. No setup. One line, one conversation, one file you approve.
Claude grabs the interview script from this page. Nothing gets installed.
One question at a time. Pick a style: a celebrity, a guessing game, or Claude reads your chats to learn how you talk.
A quick round of "this or that." Your answers shape everything Claude writes for you.
You see the whole file first. Nothing is saved until you say yes. Old files get a backup.
Here's a taste of the values round. Tap a side and watch the note write itself.
The real interview tunes these to you.

A short note, under 50 lines, in your own words. Claude reads it at the start of every session.
Your role, what you're proud of, what you're working toward and what matters most.
Locked in with "this or that," so Claude writes and decides the way you would.
Check in first or just go. Short or detailed. What to do when you're tired and need solutions.
Sending messages, spending money, deleting things, publishing. You set the list.
Claude learns your style, the words you love and the ones that bug you.
When you fix Claude's work, it proposes a rule so the same mistake doesn't happen twice.
The short answers.
curl is a tool built into every Mac and Windows computer that downloads a web page. Here it fetches the interview script, a plain text file you can read right here. Nothing is installed. This builder is adapted from the original by Alex Dobrenko, made for his course Code for Creatives. The warm, one-question-at-a-time interview is his. This version adds the "read my chats" option, the values round and a menu of proven rules.
The CLAUDE.md is just Week 1. In six weeks, Alex teaches non-programmers to build websites, skills and a personal AI chief of staff with Claude Code.
